Taylor Jacobson: Fired from Rachel Zoe Inc. or quit?
Earlier today, Taylor Jacobson of “The Rachel Zoe Project” on Bravo tweeted the following:
“Today is an end of an era and a beginning of a new professional chapter. Looking forward to what the future brings…!!!”
She also reportedly emailed her professional colleagues this:
“After four amazing years at Rachel Zoe Corporation, I’m saddened and exhilarated at the same time to announce my departure. After much thought and consideration, I have decided to take the challenging leap to go off and style on my own.”
According to Fashionista.com, the parting was amicable. According to People Magazine, Taylor was fired. Which is true?
In the last season of “The Rachel Zoe Project,” Taylor was clearly disgruntled by her job with the stylist. She complained that although they hired Brad Goreski to assist her, she was still performing the same low-level tasks she did before.
At the season’s conclusion, Rachel was suffering from stress-related illnesses including vertigo (how cinematic?) and Rachel’s husband, Rodger Berman, was set to take over the company’s daily operations. Additionally, Taylor was set to take a larger role in the company’s merchandising line.
So, what happened? Did Rodger fire Tay for being, um, perpetually grumpy and insubordinate? Or, did she leave, because Rachel never quite handed over the reigns as much as Taylor may have wanted? The TV media is leaning toward Taylor giving notice, but I don’t see that being totally explicit in her tweet or email.
What do you think happened?

I think Rachel didn't let her participate in the merchandising line as must as Taylor wanted. Rachel is a control freak!
I voted that she was fired. Rachel (or Roger) fired her. She's always so negative. She had to go!
Watching last season it was obvious that she was on her way out that door! Buh bye!
Tay quit. Rachel would never fire her. She's too codependent on her.
She quit. Why would anybody say they hate there job over and over again, it must have been depressing her so bad she quit..
